Ludic Activism

Ludic Activism

An open repository of projects that use play as a tool for critical thought, political action and civic participation.

The catalog brings together 230 games and playful practices from 67 countries, from the Chilean social uprising to the resistance in Myanmar, along with 88 free tools to make your own.

Guiding definition

Ludic activism is the intentional creation and use of games and playful experiences as tools to foster critical thought and action toward inclusive horizons of justice. It understands play as an end in itself and also as a means to promote dialogue and participation, especially for groups and issues that have been historically excluded or underrepresented, encouraging a more solidaristic society without imposing hegemonic positions or exclusionary ends.
